By purchasing a Global Medevac membership, you are providing yourself with peace of mind, knowing that not IF, but WHEN you or a member of your covered family needs emergency medical transportation, you will not be responsible for a large balance bill. Additionally, if you travel either domestically or internationally, you can take comfort in knowing that if an emergency should happen while you are away from home, you are a member of the Global Medevac family and we will get you the assistance you need and then get you, your covered family members, your pets, and your vehicle back home.

Serious accidents and illnesses can happen at any time. In fact, most serious accidents occur close to home. If you or a family member are in need of emergency assistance, simply call 911. Get the medical attention you or your family member needs. There is no need to contact us immediately. Simply have a family member or health care provider give us a call so that we can begin providing you with Global Medevac service.

While traveling domestically and you are more than 100 miles from your home, your Global Medevac membership provides you with unparalleled protection against emergency medical transportation costs. If you have a medical emergency, simply call 911 to get you or your family member the emergency medical care they need. Once you have received emergency care to stabilize your condition, you, a family member or health care provider simply places a call to Global Medevac. Our team of experienced professionals will go to work on your behalf. We will work with you and your physician to maximize your Global Medevac benefits.

If you are traveling internationally, we simply ask for a copy of your itinerary at least 10 days prior to departure. This allows us to be prepared should you require assistance while in a foreign country.

In 2018, the cost of an emergency air ambulance transport ranged from $20,000 to just under $60,000 depending on distance and medical care administered during the patient transport. Fixed wing transports typically cost between $40,000 to over $100,000 depending on distance flown and medical care provided during the flight.

The decision to utilize an emergency air ambulance is made by a first responder who is providing care at the scene of the medical event or accident. Additionally, your physician may make the decision that your condition requires higher level of care and that air ambulance is the best method of transportation.

When your physician makes a determination that your condition requires a higher level of care, our team of professionals will work with your doctor to arrange for your transfer to the appropriate receiving medical facility.

When you, your family member or health care provider calls Global Medevac to let us know that you have been admitted to a facility, we will maintain contact with them and with you in order to maximize your benefits. You will have the peace of mind knowing that when you are being discharged, we have arranged for your trip home.

Upon release from a medical facility, if you are not able to drive your car, RV, or towed camper back to your home, Global Medevac has a team of insured, bonded professionals who will take great care to get your vehicle home. We will cover the cost of the fuel and related expenses to get your vehicle safely home.

If you prefer, you can designate a family member or friend to drive your vehicle back to your home. Global Medevac will reimburse their one-way airfare to get to your vehicle.

It is comforting when a spouse can travel with you on an air ambulance. Due to varying size of aircraft, this decision is at the sole discretion of the pilot.

There is PEACE OF MIND in knowing that if you are hospitalized while more than 100 miles from home, and your admission is expected to be longer than 5 days, Global Medevac will fly the person of your choosing to be by your side AND will fly them back to their home following your discharge. If your injury or illness is of a serious nature, after consultation with your health care providers, we may waive that 5-day waiting period and get your loved one to your side immediately.

Your Global Medevac services protect you both at home and away from home, domestically and internationally. If you have a trip outside of the United States, simply send us a copy of your travel itinerary to activate your Worldwide coverage.

Your dependent children are covered to age 26. Minor grandchildren and great grandchildren are covered under our return coverage to get them back to their home should you have a covered medical event.

Additionally, under our Lifetime Plan, minor grandchildren and great grandchildren are provided emergency air and ground transportation coverage while traveling with you and they are under your care.

Global Medevac plans are available to all ages. Our Lifetime Plan is reserved for members age 55+.

Yes! When you fly overseas, you will have the PEACE OF MIND knowing that you are protected. Remember to send us your travel itinerary at least 10 days prior to your trip.

Nobody likes to think about dying, but being prepared when it happens eases the burden on your loved ones. Global Medevac has an experienced team of professionals that work with funeral service providers domestically and internationally. Additionally, if you or a loved one passes away while traveling internationally, we work with embassies and consulates around the world to get you or your loved one back to your home for services.
